A consortium formed by SC Robotics (hardware and IoT designers), Viña Costeira (well-known Galician winery), Nigal (data analytics and AI experts) and Indominus AS (computational engineering specialists) has been selected to develop a system to monitor wine ageing in real time as well as to study how to reduce the carbon footprint during the fermentation phase. The goal of this project, named LIBATIO, is to bring the digital transformation to the vine-growing sector, or, to be more precise, as part of the food transformation process.

The consortium was granted by the Galician Innovation Agency or Axencia Galega de Innovación (GAIN), as part of the 2021 edition of Conecta Hubs program, a sum of 400.000€. During 20 months, the companies will focus on building a product that can, not only help Viña Costeira, but any other winery that want to have real-time data about the quality of their product.
