The product features a Quectel SoC that enables Cellular LPWAN connectivity as well as GNSS data acquisition. The device is targeted to the logistics and security industry, but thanks to the included expansion port, our clients are using it in many innovative use cases.

Some of the applications that our clients have been usinig our device for include GIS, remote kill-switches or anthi-theft and anti-vandalism. One of the key features is an expansion port thanks to which it can be used in many different applications. So far we’ve tested water & gas metering, leak detection and environmental sensing.

The device includes an expansion port which open the doors to innovative use cases

Cellular LPWAN

The advantages of Cellular LPWAN networks versus other communication protocols are a few:

  • 3GPP standards
  • Global ground coverage (except Africa)
  • Infrastructure maintained by network operators
  • Reduced cost per SIM and MB
  • Different use cases considered NB-IoT: low power, high penetration, connectionless protocol
  • LTE M: high bandwidth, always-on devices
